Zawody Vert
Na ostatnim China Invitational pokazowo prezentowana była jazda na rolkach i BMX vert, w tym roku vert trafił już do oficjalnych zawodów i ośmiu najlepszych Riderów „na dużej rampie” znalazło się w Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium by ze sobą konkurować o pierwsze miejsce.

Początkowo tylko 7 riderów zostało zaproszonych, ale gdy Bestwick miał problemy z visą, Kevin Robinson został zaproszony (posiadał ważną visę) by wypełnić lukę po Jamim.W ostatnich minutach Bestwick rozwiązał problemy z visą i szczęśliwie dotarł na zawody. Kevin zatem wystartował z numerem ósmym.
Większość zawodników zgodnie mówiła że to jedne z najlepszych ramp na jakich jeździli i bez wątpienia pokazali to swoimi trikami i wysokimi lotami. Jedna część wydawała się być minimalnie pod rampą i wybijała trochę zawodników, doprowadziło to prawdopodobnie do paru upadków i niesklejonych trików. Nie zważając na to, walka o pierwsze miejsce toczyła się do samego końca.
Jestem pewny że Jamie Bestwick był bardzo zadowolony z tego że ostatecznie została mu wydana visa, po tym jak zgarną pierwsze miejsce z przed nosa Steve McCanna. Steve po pierwszych przejazdach na których skleił potrójnego tailwhipa utrzymywał pierwszą pozycję ale do czasu drugiego i finałowego przejazdu Jamie Bestwicka. Przejazdy Jamiego wyglądały tak płynnie i ładnie pomimo tego że jego triki były naprawdę trudne. Swymi pięknymi i wysokimi lotami niewątpliwie zrobił niezłe show dla widowni w Beijing
Podobno za ostatnie miejsce Zack Warden otrzymał 6 tys. dolarów więc pomyślcie sobie ile mógł dostać Jamie ?
